Sisanda Magala nominated for 5 Lions awards

Fast bowler Sisanda Magala has been nominated in five categories at the Central Gauteng Lions’ annual awards, which will happen on Thursday, 22 April 2021.

This was Magala’s first season at the Lions. He had previously played for the Warriors.

The talented right-armer debuted for the Proteas earlier this month and has collected four T20I caps.

“We’ve certainly had a memorable season, with so many players excelling right across the spectrum, making it a tough job for our panel,” said Lions head coach Wandile Gwavu.

“The 2020-21 season will be remembered as one of absolute teamwork. When our batsmen failed, our bowlers stepped up. And always our fielding was top-notch. Thursday will be a proud evening of celebrations and I wish everyone the best of luck.”
