Fast bowler Siya Plaatjie and batsman Lwando Tywaku were named in Western Province’s XI for Wednesday’s One Day Cup fixture against the Dolphins at Kingsmead in Durban.
This is Plaatjie’s List A debut. He has represented Western Province Colts and has played for Western Province Crickete Club in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league this season.
This is not Tywaku’s List A debut. He was first capped at this level in March 2021.

Western Province are without all-rounder Wayne Parnell, who has been sidelined by injury. Wicketkeeper-batsman Kyle Verreynne is also absent. He is with the Proteas for the ongoing series against Bangladesh.
Batsman Zubayr Hamza, meanwhile, has been suspended.
Western Province currently occupy fourth position in division one of this season’s One Day Cup. They have won two matches in three attempts. There are eight teams in division one.
