Rylands Cricket Club have signed batsman Siyabonga Venge ahead of the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Venge previously played for Khayelitsha Cricket Club in the WPCA first division D.
“Siyabonga brings with him great potential and value-adding skills. We are excited to see him in action and look forward to getting to know him better as the season unfolds,” read a statement from Rylands Cricket Club.
“Siyabonga not only offers an array of skills that will no doubt add value to the group, but he brings with him a mature personality from which we all can learn.”
Rylands Cricket Club have been relegated to the WPCA first division A after ending the 2023-24 premier league in last position with six wins and 16 defeats.
They have also signed spinner Shaheed Abader from United Cricket Club and batsman Divesh Gihwala from Avendale Cricket Club.
