Several former Proteas cricketers have been named in South Africa Masters’ squad for the 2025 International Masters League.

South Africa’s 14-man squad includes all-rounders Jacques Kallis and Vernon Philander, seamers Garnett Kruger and Makhaya Ntini, wicketkeeper-batsmen Dane Vilas and Morne van Wyk, batsmen Jacques Rudolph and Hashim Amla – and spinners Eddie Leie and Thandi Tshabalala.

This year’s six-team International Masters League will span 18 matches, including two semi-finals and a final, from 22 February to 16 March. Raipur, Vadodara and Mumbai in India will host the tournament.

Batsman Sachin Tendulkar will captain India Masters, whose squad also includes all-rounders Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan – and batsman Yuvraj Singh.

West Indies Masters will be captained by batsman Brian Lara. The West Indies squad also includes batsman Chris Gayle and fast bowler Tino Best.

Batsman Ian Bell and Eoin Morgan have been included in the England Masters squad. Morgan has been named captain.

Sri Lanka Masters will be captained by batsman Kumar Sangakkara. They have batsman Romesh Kaluwitharana and seamer Suranga Lakmal, too.

All-rounder Shane Watson will captain Australia Masters, who also have spinners Xavier Doherty, Jason Krezja and Bryce McGain.
