Former Warriors head coach Piet Botha will be head coach of South Western Districts during South Africa’s 2022-23 domestic season.
Botha was head coach of the Warriors from 2011 to 2014 and later worked as a bowling coach with the Lions.
What Botha said
“I am very honoured to be named the head coach of the SSWD cricket team. It was always one of my distant dreams, and finally I can do it and I’m very excited about the opportunity,’ said Botha.
“One of my first jobs it to create a culture and team environment to help the team to operate in a professional manner.
“Secondly is to help the players to grow individually in their own games, ultimately to reach their own goals.
“And lastly to help SWD to be elevated into the top tier of South African cricket.”
