Left-arm fast bowler Stefan Tait’s professional playing career has ended
Tait played first-class cricket for the Warriors, Tuskers and South Western Districts from 2018 to 2023.
He hadn’t played professional cricket for almost two years due to a longstanding knee injury and, this week, confirmed retiring from professional competition.
The 29-year-old Tait collected 47 wickets in 16 first-class matches. This included three five-wicket innings hauls and one match 10-for. He also took 44 wickets in 31 List A matches.

- Kelly Smuts;
- Divan Posthumus;
- Matthew Kleinveldt;
- Matthew Pollard;
- Keenan Vieira;
- Marco Marais;
- Shaylen Pillay;
- Basheer Walters;
- Clayton Bosch; and
- Tian Koekemoer.
