Durbanville Cricket Club, South Western Districts Cricket premier league champions Union Stars Cricket Club and Boland Cricket premier league champions Stellenbosch University Cricket Club (Maties) are contesting this week’s National Club Championship play-off fixtures.
The winner of the play-off will represent the Western Cape at the National Club Championship in September 2025.
The University of Pretoria Cricket Club (Tuks) are the reigning National Club Championship title holders.
Prior to 2024’s return, the National Club Championship had not been held since 2019.
Durbanville Cricket Club won the National Club Championship title in 2019. Only two non-university cricket clubs have won the National Club Championship since 2010. KwaZulu-Natal’s Crusaders Cricket Club won the tournament in 2015.
