The Sunrisers have also appointed Warriors assistant coach Baakier Abrahams in the same role – and former Proteas star Dale Steyn bowling coach.
The Eastern Cape team is owned by Sun TV Network Limited, who also own the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
