Fast bowler Lifa Ntanzi has joined South Western Districts ahead of the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.
Ntanzi was at the Dolphins in division one before joining SWD in division two. He has not played first-class cricket since 2021, but recently represented South Africa at the African Games in Ghana.
“He showed glimpses of his capabilities. Lifa has tremendous potential. He has raw pace, which is a rarity,” said Dolphins coach Imraan Khan.
South Western Districts have also signed batsman Yaseen Valli from the Tuskers, but lost batsman Jean du Plessis to the Warriors.
Valli has left after the Tuskers were relegated to division two. This will be du Plessis’ second stint in division one after a loan spell to Boland recently.
