South Africa beat Pakistan by one wicket in Friday’s Cricket World Cup fixture in Chennai, India.
Pakistan reached a final total of 270 all out in 46.4 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first.

The Proteas have beaten Sri Lanka, Australia, England, Bangladesh and Pakistan – and lost to Netherlands – this tournament.
Captain Temba Bavuma returned to the XI for Friday’s fixture. He had missed two matches due to illness.
Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada missed the match against Pakistan due to injury. “Rabada has been ruled out for today’s match as a precautionary measure due to a lower back spasm,” read a brief statement from Cricket South Africa.
South Africa’s next Cricket World Cup fixture will be against New Zealand in Pune on Wednesday. The Proteas will then travel to Kolkata to play India at Eden Gardens on Sunday, 5 November.
