1. Fritz de Beer (captain, Durbanville Cricket Club)

Runs: 806, average: 38, strike rate: 74

De Beer was the second-highest run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league. He captained Durbanville Cricket Club to the premier league title.

He is one of three players selected in this season’s and last season’s Club Cricket SA WPCA premier league Team of the Season. De Beer was also in Club Cricket SA’s 2022-23 WPCA premier league Team of the Season.

2. Werner Moolman (Brackenfell Cricket Club)

Runs: 776, average: 41, strike rate: 65

Moolman was the fourth-highest run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league. He hit two centuries and four half-tons. He hit the most fours among the top five run-scorers.

3. Rushdi Jappie (Brackenfell Cricket Club)

Runs: 799, average: 44, strike rate: 60 | Wickets: 17, strike rate: 41, economy rate: 4.0

Jappie was the third-highest run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league. His nine half-centuries were the most in the league. He took the fifth most wickets for Brackenfell Cricket Club – and second most among spinners after left-armer Dayyaan Behardien.

4. Gareth Roderick (wicketkeeper, Greenpoint Cricket Club)

Runs: 845, average: 50, strike rate: 84

Roderick was the leading run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league. His hit the joint most centuries – three – alongside van Wyk. Roderick’s 137 against Western Province Cricket Club was the third-highest score in the league.

5. Lenert van Wyk (Rondebosch Cricket Club)

Runs: 762, average: 43, strike rate: 74

Van Wyk was the fifth-highest run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league. He is one of three players selected in this season’s and last season’s Club Cricket SA WPCA premier league Team of the Season.

Van Wyk was also in Club Cricket SA’s 2022-23 WPCA premier league Team of the Season. He was also in the Club Cricket SA’s Teams of the Season in 2018-19 and 2017-18.

6. Marcus Fourie (Bellville Cricket Club)

Runs: 665, average: 42, strike rate: 82 | Wickets: 40, strike rate: 30, economy rate: 3.4

Fourie was among this WPCA premier league season’s top 12 run-scorers and top five wicket-takers. He was the second-highest scoring left-hander after de Beer. Fourie’s economy rate was the best among the top six wicket-takers.

His 120 not out against Milnerton Cricket Club and five for 24 against the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club were among the top 10 highest scores and bowling figures, respectively.

7. Justin Behrens (Western Province Cricket Club)

Wickets: 41, strike rate: 29, economy rate: 3.5 | Runs: 172, average: 16, strike rate: 64

Behrens was the second-highest wicket-taker – and most prolific leg-spinner – in this season’s WPCA premier league.

He is one of three players selected in this season’s and last season’s Club Cricket SA WPCA premier league Team of the Season. Behrens was also in Club Cricket SA’s 2022-23 WPCA premier league Team of the Season.

8. Sohail Imran (Ottoman Cricket Club)

Wickets: 41, strike rate: 25, economy rate: 3.5 | Runs: 218, average: 13, strike rate: 107

Imran was the third-highest wicket-taker – and most prolific seamer – in this season’s WPCA premier league. His strike rate was the best among the top four wicket-takers.

9. Etienne Jewel (Brackenfell Cricket Club)

Wickets: 40, strike rate: 22, economy rate: 3.9

Jewel was the fifth-highest wicket-taker – and second highest among seamers – in this season’s WPCA premier league. Jewel’s strike rate was the best among the top 60 wicket-takers.

He was one of three players to take a six-wicket haul. The others were Durbanville Cricket Club’s Ben Ward and Rondebosch Cricket Club’s Morne Pentz.

10. Alex Draai (Cape Town Cricket Club)

Wickets: 37, strike rate: 30, economy rate: 4.2

Draai was the sixth-highest wicket-taker – and third highest among seamers – in this season’s WPCA premier league. Draai bowled the most overs among seamers in the top 100 wicket-takers.

11. Cian Robertson (Claremont Cricket Club)

Wickets: 42, strike rate: 28, economy rate: 3.6

Robertson was the leading wicket-taker in this season’s WPCA premier league. He was one of five players to take two five-wicket hauls. His strike rate was the best among spinners in the top 12 wicket-takers.

12th man: Kai Curran (UWC Cricket Club)

Runs: 749, average: 42, strike rate: 79

Curran was the sixth-highest run-scorer in this season’s WPCA premier league.
