Teams and groups named for Over-40 World Cup, Pakistan and West Indies absent

International Masters Cricket have named the teams and groups for next year’s inaugural Over-40 World Cup.

Pakistan and West Indies, who were the finalists at the recent Over-40 Global Cup, have not been included in the IMC’s Over-40 World Cup.

Over-40 World Cup hosts South Africa have been pooled with New Zealand, India, Wales, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.

Group A

  3. United States of America
  4. Zimbabwe
  5. Canada
  6. Namibia

Group B

  1. New Zealand
  2. South Africa
  3. India
  4. Wales
  5. Sri Lanka
  6. United Arab Emirates

The 2024 Over-40 World Cup will be played in Cape Town and surrounds from mid-February to late March.

South Africa hosted the Over-50 World Cup earlier this year, too.
