Wicketkeeper-batsman Dane Vilas and several other South African stars have been released by various franchises in The Hundred.
The second edition of The Hundred – the England and Wales Cricket Board’s premier limited-deliveries tournament – will be played this year.
Vilas was previously with the Northern Superchargers. He is currently playing for Western Province in Cricket South Africa’s T20 Challenge in Port Elizabeth.

- Tabraiz Shamsi – Oval Invincibles

Former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis has been retained by the Northern Superchargers.
Ex-Proteas fast bowler Marchant de Lange was kept by the Trent Rockets.
Former Proteas all-rounders David Wiese and Roelof van der Merwe were released by the London Spirit.
Southern Brave are the reigning The Hundred champions. They beat the Birmingham Phoenix in the 2021 final.
