Left-arm wrist-spinner Thomas Kaber has joined South Western Districts from Border ahead of South Africa’s 2023-24 domestic season.

Kaber has also played for the Warriors and Northerns in the past.

“Thomas is a leg-spinner and he bats, too,” . That gives us some options,” South Western Districts chief executive officer Albertus Kennedy told Rapport.

South Western Districts, who compete in division two, have also recruited:

  • Ruan Terblanche (from Boland);
  • Khwezi Gumede (from Boland); and
  • Kelly Smuts (from Northern Cape).

Smuts has played for SWD previously. SWD, meanwhile, have lost all-rounders Sean Whitehead and Onke Nyaku. Whitehead has moved to the Warriors. Nkayu has returned to Western Province.
