Spinner Thomas Kaber has returned to the Warriors in division one for the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.
Kaber was with South Western Districts in division two – and has also played for Border in the second division. He also has experience with MI Cape Town in the SA20.
Kaber was SWD’s leading wicket-taker in the 2024-25 4-Day Domestic Series, division two, and second-highest in the One-Day Cup, division two. He was their highest wicket-taker in the T20 Knockout.
“It was a great experience, those two seasons at SWD. I will always be thankful for the opportunity. I am looking forward to returning to the Warriors – it is a great team culture there,” Kaber told Club Cricket SA.
“St George’s Park, in my opinion, is one of the best grounds in the country – there is so much history there. I am excited to play in the Warriors set-up again. I am quite excited about what it could lead to – being back in division one circles and hopefully making a lasting impact.”
The Warriors have also gained seamers Gideon Peters and Kerwin Mungroo from North West, seamer Aphiwe Mnyanda from Border and batsman Modiri Litheko from Northern Cape.
Head coach Robin Peterson and assistant coach Mark Charlton have been retained – and seamer CJ King’s contract has been upgraded.
Seamers Alfred Mothoa and Renaldo Meyer, all-rounder Beyers Swanepoel and batsman Diego Rosier have left the Warriors. Mothoa, Meyer and Swanepoel have joined North West, the Tuskers and Lions, respectively. Rosier has also joined North West.
