All-rounder Tian Koekemoer has joined Northern Cape for South Africa’s 2024-24 domestic season.

Koekemoer was previously contracted by the Tuskers, who were recently relegated to division two.

“It is fantastic to have Tian with us. He is a very experienced player. He has a proven record over a long period of time,” Northern Cape head coach Mark Charlton told Club Cricket SA.

“He has proven that he is a guy that can win – and win consistently. He did this with the Tuskers when they were promoted to division one – and Eastern Province – previously.

“We have a longstanding relationship and I am really looking forward to having Tian on board.”

Fast bowler Johan van Dyk, meanwhile, has exited Northern Cape for the Knights. Van Dyk, who was in the South Africa A squad last year.

“I’m very happy for Johan. He is a first division cricketer now. He has developed a lot over the years and, over the last season, has become the bowler that he has always promised to be,” added Charlton.

“He is almost the complete article. He is bowling quickly and should have a good season ahead in the first division. We wish him well.”

Northern Cape are the reigning 4-Day Domestic Series, division two, champions.
