The Titans will be without fast bowler Matthew Boast for this week’s 4-Day Domestic Series fixture against Boland in Paarl.
Boast has been sidelined by injury. Fellow fast bowler Merrick Brett has been named in the squad.
Spinner Schalk Engelbrecht and left-arm seamer Sam Ruwisi are also in the 13-man squad, which includes Proteas Aaron Phangiso, Dean Elgar, Donovan Ferreira and Dewald Botha.
“The main objective for me is to get everyone to be the best version of themselves and if we can get that right we’ll be in contention come the end of the season,” said Titans captain Neil Brand.
Boland signed several new players before the start of the 2023-24 domestic season, including Proteas duo Glenton Stuurman and Keegan Petersen and former Western Province batsman Aviwe Mgijima.
“We’re aware of the signings they’ve made in the winter to bolster their attack and their batting, but we will show up with a good fight and hopefully get a good result in Paarl,” added Brand.
