The Titans have appointed new head coach Rivash Gobind.
Gobind has succeeded former Titans head coach Mandla Mashimbyi, who became Proteas Women head coach in December 2024.
“It is an honour to be entrusted with the head coach role at an institution like the Titans, which has a proud history of excellence and player development,” said Gobind.
“I am excited for the challenge ahead and committed to building on the legacy of success.”
Gobind played first-class cricket for the Dolphins before moving into coaching. He has worked with the Dolphins and Warriors in South African domestic cricket – and Proteas, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe at international level. He has also worked with Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20.
“We are delighted to welcome Rivash Gobind as the new head coach of the Titans. His experience and proven track record make him a strong fit for our high-performance environment. We look forward to the journey ahead under his leadership,” added Titans chief executive officer Jacques Faul.
Assistant coach Richard Das Neves was interim head coach in Mashimbyi’s absence. Fellow Titans assistant coach Albie Morkel has been retained.
“Richard has been outstanding. He brought structure and intellect to the team during a transitional period, and we are incredibly grateful for his efforts. He will continue to play a key role in our set-up, with a new senior position to be announced shortly,” added Faul.
“Albie has identified and developed talented players and played a big part in taking them to the next level. We are thankful that he continues in this role.”
