Western Province batsman Tony de Zorzi debuted for Green Point Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league recently.

De Zorzi scored 27 from 49 deliveries in Green Point Cricket Club’s four-wicket defeat to Rondebosch Cricket Club on 14 January 2023.

De Zorzi had joined Green Point Cricket Club in October 2020, but professional cricket commitments prevented an earlier debut.

Hamza returns for UWC Cricket Club

Proteas and Western Province batsman Zubayr Hamza, meanwhile, returned for the University of Western Cape Cricket Club in the WPCA premier league recently.

Hamza played in mid-January’s fixtures against Durbanville Cricket Club and Brackenfell Cricket Club. He scored 45 and 30.
