Durban’s Super Giants have signed Proteas batsman Tony de Zorzi for the 2024 edition of the SA20.
De Zorzi was announced by the Super Giants shortly after not being named in the Proteas’ squad for next month’s Test series against New Zealand.
He has replaced the injured Kyle Abbott in the Super Giant’s squad.
De Zorzi struck a maiden ODI century against India recently.
The Super Giants will be captained by spinner Keshav Maharaj this season. He has succeeded former captain Quinton de Kock.
The 2024 SA20 will start on 10 January. Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the reigning champions. They beat the Pretoria Capitals in the 2023 final.
