In early August, Hottentots Holland Cricket Club appointed Abdul-aziz Temoor head coach ahead of the Western Province Cricket Association first division B.

Temoor, who had held the role in an interim capacity before being appointed full time, succeeded former head coach Yaasin Jakoet.

In mid-October, the Western Province Veterans Cricket Association reiterated a rule that disallowed the selection of WPCA premier league and first division A players such as Durbanville Cricket Club’s Jaco Castle.

A month later, despite a contest, the rule was upheld.

In late February, former Proteas batsman JP Duminy played for Strandfontein Cricket Club in the WPCA first division A.

He hit 67 and took two wickets against the University of Cape Town Cricket Club.

Kraaifontein Cricket Club and Ottoman Cricket Club were promoted to the 2022-23 WPCA premier league in early August.

Former Proteas batsman Ashwell Prince hit 149 not out for Victoria Cricket Club’s second XI in the WPCA reserve division A in late November.

He batted with son, Joshua Prince, during the match against Green Point Cricket Club.

1st. Alviro Petersen hits T20 double-century for Glenvista Cricket Club (20,200+ reads)

Also in late November, former Proteas batsman Alviro Petersen played for Glenvista Cricket Club.

Petersen hit 208 not out in the Veterans Cricket Association of South Africa against Soweto Cricket Club.
