Tuskers head coach Grant Morgan has resigned.

Morgan was appointed in August 2022, when the Tuskers were still in division two of South African domestic cricket. They have since been promoted to division one.

“We would like to thank Grant for the role he played in getting Tuskers cricket into the top division of domestic cricket in South Africa,” said KwaZulu-Natal Inland Cricket Union chief executive officer Jason Sathiaseelan.

“The 52-year-old Morgan submitted his resignation on Friday has cited personal reasons for his resignation.

“It’s unfortunate that we will be losing a coach with his experience and knowledge of the game, in particular the domestic game.

“The whole of the KZN Inland Cricket Union wishes Grant all the best for the future.

Assistant coach Athi Maposa be acting head coach for the remainder of the Tuskers’ One-Day Cup. He will be assisted by former Proteas fast bowler Yusuf Abdulla.
