Relegated Tuskers release Thando Ntini, retain Michael Erlank and others

The Tuskers have released seamer Thando Ntini ahead of the 2024-25 domestic season in South Africa.

Ntini had joined from the Dolphins in 2023. He had previously played for the Cape Cobras and Titans, too.

Tuskers chief executive officer Jason Sathiaseelan confirmed Ntini’s exit – and listed seamer Mbulelo Budaza, batsman Michael Erlank and all-rounder Malcolm Nofal among the players retained.

Batsmen Kagiso Rapulana and Cameron Shekleton, seamer Mondli Khumalo and wicketkeeper Ntando Zuma have also been retained by the Tuskers.

The Tuskers, who have been relegated to division two, have signed batsmen Sean Gilson, Jason Oakes and Jack Lees from the Dolphins, Northern Cape and Titans, respectively.

They have also signed all-rounder Sean Whitehead and seamer Ziyaad Abrahams from the Warriors and seamer Marcello Piedt from South Western Districts.

All-rounder Tian Koekemoer and fast bowler Stefan Tait have left the Tuskers for Northern Cape. Seamer Keith Dudgeon has left for Boland. Batsmen Dilivio Ridgard and Yaseen Valli have exited the Tuskers for Limpopo and SWD, respectively.
