Tuskers seamer Keith Dudgeon and Lions spinner Nqaba Peter have been added to the Paarl Royals’ squad for this year’s SA20.

Dudgeon and Peter have replaced and seamer batsman Lhuan-dre Pretorius and seamer Kwena Maphaka in the Royals’ squad.

Pretorius and Maphaka have been named in South Africa Under-19’s squad for the Under-19 World Cup, which will coincide with the SA20.

“We are indeed delighted that Keith Dudgeon becomes the first player from Tuskers to be selected for the SA20,” said KwaZulu-Natal Inland Cricket Union chief executive officer Jason Sathiaseelan.

“This is well deserved, and we wish Keith everything of the best. His hard work and commitment has paid off and we have no doubt that he will return richer for the experience.”

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the reigning SA20 champions. They beat the Pretoria Capitals in last year’s final.

The 2024 SA20 will start on 10 January, when the Sunrisers Eastern Cape play the Joburg Super Kings at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth.
