United Cricket Club have appointed Igshaan Damon women’s head coach.
United Cricket Club compete in the Western Province Cricket Association women’s first division A.
“Igshaan has officially been appointed as the coach of our ladies’ team. We wish you all of the best in this exciting role,” read a brief statement from United Cricket Club.
Batter Marion Bakker has been named captain.

According to the WPCA’s final draft of fixtures for the 2021-22 season, United Cricket Club’s opening fixture will be against Somerset West Cricket Club on 31 October.
This will be followed by key matches against Mitchells Plain Cricket Club, Hottentots Holland Cricket Club, Brackenfell Cricket Club and others. They are all in group A of the 2021-22 WPCA women’s first division A.
In group B, there are Hanover Park Cricket Club, Milnerton Cricket Club, Strand Cricket Club, Strandfontein Cricket Club and others.
Durbanville Cricket Club, Pollsmoor Cricket Club, Tygerberg Cricket Club and Victoria Cricket Club, among others, currently inhabit the WPCA women’s premier league.
