Tournament hosts United Cricket Club will field two teams in The United Richards Cup, which will take place in East London on 28, 29 and 30 August 2015.
The competition will provide key preparation ahead of the 2015-16 season for the Buffalo Flats-based unit, which finished last in pool two of the National Club Championship earlier this year, after one win in five attempts.
Their sole victory was against eventual winning finalists, Crusaders Cricket Club from Durban, thanks largely to half-centurion trio Bevan Bennett, Kevin Bennett and Marvin Lazarus.
The six-a-side United Richards Cup will also feature Willows Cricket Club, Police Cricket Club, Bohemian Cricket Club – and three other invitational XIs.
One of the three representative teams will boast the services of first-class and List A seamer Rowan Richards, whose ties to East London remain firm despite a fruitful career with the Pretoria-based Titans.
Several local primary and high schools, too, will compete at junior level.
