The University of Cape Town Cricket Club have lost head coach Paul Phillipson ahead of the 2018-19 Western Province Cricket Association first division A season.
Phillipson succeeded former head coach Ryan Maron, who is now working for the West Indies Cricket Board, ahead of the 2017-18 season.
The University of Cape Town Cricket Club, who have also parted ways with captain and Johannesburg-bound Jamie Rood, occupied third position in the 2017-18 first division A, prior to its cancellation due to the ongoing drought in the Western Cape.
They are the reigning WPCA Club of the Year – and earlier this season relished opening batsman Jack Newby’s elevation to the Western Province Sunfoil 3-Day Cup team.
