Former South African franchise cricketers Andries Gous and Shadley van Schalkwyk have been named in the United States of America’s squad for this month’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
Gous and van Schalkwyk played for the Knights in South Africa before relocating to the USA – and have since played ODI and T20I cricket. They represented the USA at the 2024 T20 World Cup, too.
Batsman Shubham Ranjane, who played for the Joburg Super Kings in the SA20 last month, has also been selected by the USA. Former Sri Lanka batsman Shehan Jayasuriya has been selected as well.
