Victoria Cricket Club are hiring a new head coach ahead of the 2025-26 Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Victoria Cricket Club have been promoted after ending the 2024-25 WPCA first division A in second position – and recently won the first division A T20 title at Newlands.
“The main purpose of this role is to develop high quality, structured training programmes and pre-match preparations,” read a statement from Victoria Cricket Club. The key objectives of the role are to:
- “Develop winning teams;
- “compete in a professional manner and at the highest level;
- “increase the number of high quality players;
- “retain players at various levels;
- “remain up to date with modern thinking and practice;
- “produce a professional attitude towards development, players, training and the game; and
- “create a culture of family, brotherhood, excellence and cohesion.”
Former Victoria Cricket Club head coach Saadiek Davids resigned earlier this month to join Primrose Cricket Club.
Meanwhile, the University of the Western Cape Cricket Club have appointed new head coach Faiek Davids.
