Victoria Cricket Club, Helderberg Cricket Club seeking head coaches

Grand Challenge Cup winners Victoria Cricket ClubVictoria Cricket Club won the 2015-16 Grand Challenge Cup.

Victoria Cricket Club and Helderberg Cricket Club are hiring head coaches, ahead of the 2016-17 Western Province Cricket Association season.

Victoria Cricket Club won the WPCA’s limited-overs Grand Challenge Cup this year, but were relegated from the premier league on the back of seven defeats in nine two-day fixtures.

“Our club herewith invites suitably qualified coaches to apply for the position of club head coach for the forthcoming season. Interested individuals are requested to submit their CVs by 24 June 2016 at the latest,” read a statement from VCC club secretary Jeremy Williams.

Helderberg Cricket Club narrowly escaped demotion to the first division D in the wake of just two victories in nine first division C fixtures during the 2015-16 season.

“I have been tasked with the job of procuring a coach for the first XI for the forthcoming season. The position needs to be filled urgently, as we would like to commence with training. This position would suit a level two coach. A salary will be negotiated in line with experience and our limited budget,” said HCC Centre of Excellence Hub coach Cobus Roodt.
