Victoria Cricket Club are hiring a new head coach ahead of the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division B.
The new appointment will replace the outgoing Myles Williamson, who succeeded then head coach Cheslyn Lodewyk in 2018.
Williamson’s contract has expired and will not be renewed, according to Victoria Cricket Club. They are seeking a successor that, among other requirements, will:
- “coach players and aspiring coaches within Victoria Cricket Club;
- “develop well rounded individuals who are confident, creative, accountable, set personal goals and are good decision makers;
- “assist with the development and implementation of the culture of excellence within Victoria Cricket Club;
- “create an environment where players develop, learn, play hard and fair;
- “maintain discipline throughout the season – ond an off the pitch; and
- “listen, be flexible and be willing to learn from players and stakeholders.”
Victoria Cricket Club, who previously played in the WPCA premier league and first division A, have been relegated to the 2023-24 first division B.
