Victoria Cricket Club have signed trio Kashief Joseph, Larohn Opperman and Calum Daniels ahead of the 2024-25 Western Province Cricket Association first division A.
Joseph, Opperman and Daniels are from Bishops Diocesan College.
“We are proud to announce the signing of these three exceptional, young cricketers. Their additions mark an exciting chapter in our commitment to developing the next generation of cricket talent,” read a statement from Victoria Cricket Club.
“We are also delighted to officially welcome Calum. He has already played a handful of senior matches. His return symbolises our strong ties to homegrown talent. We look forward to his contribution on and off the field.
“These three young men embody the values of hard work, dedication and passion for cricket that Victoria Cricket Club prides itself on. We are excited to see them develop and contribute to the success of the team.”
Victoria Cricket Club have also signed Northamptonshire left-arm wrist spinner Freddie Heldreich.
Heldreich played in England’s T20 Blast and One-Day Cup in August and September 2024. He has been capped 11 times at List A level – and 44 times in T20 cricket.
All-rounder Juan Collison and batsman Fahad Khan have joined Victoria Cricket Club, too. Collison and Khan previously played for Avendale Cricket Club and Rylands Cricket Club, respectively.
Victoria Cricket Club have been promoted to the WPCA first division A after winning the 2023-24 first division B title.
