Victoria Cricket Club all-rounder Warren Ekstraal has returned for 22 March 2025’s Western Province Cricket Association premier league fixture against Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club.
Ekstraal is the only player listed among the 2024-25 WPCA first division A top 12 wicket-takers and run-scorers. He has served a six-week suspension – and will return on Saturday.
Primrose Cricket Club and Victoria Cricket Club currently occupy second and third position, respectively, on this season’s WPCA first division A points table. Primrose Cricket Club have 79 points to Victoria Cricket Club’s 77.
Victoria Cricket Club must beat Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club to be promoted to the 2025-26 WPCA premier league. If Northerns Goodwood Cricket Club win, Primrose Cricket Club will be promoted.
“One win from promotion. Final game for our first XI – and one last win will secure promotion,” Victoria Cricket Club wrote on social media.
Victoria Cricket Club or Primrose Cricket Club – and first-placed Rylands Cricket Club – will replace relegated Milnerton Cricket Club and Kraaifontein Cricket Club in the 2025-26 WPCA premier league.
