Wanderers Cricket Club have advertised for a new head coach ahead of the 2022-23 Lions Cricket premier league season.
Former head coach Jeff Levin resigned last month.
What Levin said at the time
“Wanderers CC have accepted my resignation as head coach, bringing to an end 11 years of coaching at this iconic institution,” Levin wrote on social media in April 2022.
“Coaching at premier league level for 15 consecutive seasons is a long time and definitely takes its toll.
“I will always treasure the memories as well as all the highs and lows. I remain grateful for the opportunity.
“For now, I look forward to some Sundays off, but who knows what the future holds.
“I’m incredibly humbled and totally blown away by the response on social media, texts and phone calls that I have received after my resignation.
“I never expected this at all. I have received messages and wishes from players (that played for and against me), administrators, family and friends, locally and from around the world.
“This means more to me than you can imagine. Please be assured that the time was right and I’m not retiring.
“I simply needed a break and change after 15 consecutive years of coaching premier league club cricket.
“Once I’ve taken some time to breathe, maybe play some golf and catch some fish, don’t be surprised if you see me on the side of the field again, sooner rather than later.”
