All-rounder Warren Ekstraal hit a century in Victoria Cricket Club’s 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division B T20 fixture against Yorkshire Cricket Club at Wynberg Cricket Club on Sunday, 22 October.
Ekstraal opened the batting – and struck 112 from 53 deliveries. His innings included 11 fours and six sixes. He shared a 111-run partnership with fellow opener Jordan Fourie.
Leg-spinner Ekstraal then opened the bowling – and took a hat-trick with deliveries four, five and sixth of the third over of Yorkshire Cricket Club’s pursuit of a 228-run target.
Ekstraal joined Victoria Cricket Club from Claremont Cricket Club earlier this month. He previously represented St Augustine Cricket Club, too.

Hat-trick for Jappie as well
Spinner Rusdhi Jappie took a hat-trick in Brackenfell Cricket Club’s WPCA first division A T20 fixture against Hottentots Holland Cricket Club.
Jappie collected figures of five for nine.
Williams takes hat-trick, too
Western Province Over-40 and South Africa Over-40 spinner Ridiwaan Williams took a hat-trick for Mitchells Plain Cricket Club against Khayelitsha Cricket Club in the WPCA first division C.
Williams ended with figures of five for six in 2.5 overs.
Boyd hits century at Somerset West Cricket Club
In Sunday’s WPCA first division B T20 fixture at Somerset West Cricket Club, Somerset West Cricket Club batsman Tim Boyd hit a century against Kuils River Cricket Club.
Boyd’s 105 came off 48 balls – and included eight fours and eight sixes.
