Western Province Over-40 beat Eastern Province Over-40
Western Province Over-40 beat Eastern Province Over-40 by six wickets at Old Edwardians Cricket Club in Johannesburg.
Wayne Hendricks took a five-wicket haul for Western Province Over-40, as Eastern Province Over-40 were limited to a final total of 115 all out in 42.3 overs. Brent Emslie top-scored for Eastern Province Over-40 with 39. Hendricks was well supported by fellow spinner Ridiwaan Williams‘ three-wicket haul.
Western Province Over-40’s reply reached 116 for four in 24.2 overs. Ashwell Prince hit 46 not out and Mark Ritchie 37 not out. Armien Kahaar took two wickets for Eastern Province Over-40.
Lions Over-40 v East Rand Over-40
Lions Over-40 beat East Rand Over-40 by 32 runs at Wanderers Cricket Club.
Lions Over-40 amassed a final total of 338 for eight in 45 overs. Warren Dugmore top-scored for Lions Over-40 with 118. Kyle Smit and Jan Grobbelaar took two wickets each for East Rand Over-40.
East Rand Over-40’s reply reached 306 for seven in 45 overs. Smit, Johann Nel and Craig Turton struck 70, 79 and 66, respectively.
Boland Over-40 beat Border Over-40
Boland Over-40 beat Border Over-40 by one wicket at the Wanderers Cricket Club.
Lundi Mbane top-scored with 58 in Border Over-40’s final total of 238 for eight in 45 overs. Elroy Abrahams, Louis Koen and James Albanie took two wickets each for Boland Over-40.
Boland Over-40’s reply reached 239 for nine in 45 overs. David Bakker top-scored for Boland Over-40 with 84. Mbane and Rodd Fischer took three wickets each for Border Over-40.
Dolphins Over-40 v Titans Over-40
Titans Over-40 beat Dolphins Over-40 by 87 runs at Old Edwardians Cricket Club.
Titans Over-40 reached a final total of 235 for five in 45 overs on the back of Quintin Pretorius’ century. Donald Cloete, Leon van der Westhuizen and Charl Groenewald took a wicket each for Dolphins Over-40.
In reply, Dolphins Over-40 moved to 148 all out in 34.3 overs. Adhir Maharaj top-scored for Dolphins Over-40 with 45. Piet Botha took four wickets for Titans Over-40.
