Old Edwardians Cricket Club were crowned 2020-21 Central Gauteng Lions Cricket T20 premier league champions on Tuesday, 13 April.
They beat Marks Park Cricket Club by 19 runs in the final at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Old Edwardians Cricket Club collected a final total of 195 for five on the back of half-centuries from batsmen Wesley Marshall and Bryce Parsons.
Marshall, who was named player of the match, struck 72 runs from 34 deliveries to Parsons’ 56 off 45.
Marks Park Cricket Club’s reply amounted to an insufficient 176 for eight, despite the hard-hitting Shane Dadswell’s 65 from 25 balls. His stay featured five sixes.
