The West Coast Outlaws signed batsmen Grant Edmeades and Mujaahid Toffar during last week’s Cape Premier League player auction.
The Outlaws paid 600,000 CPL dollars – the tournament’s fictional currency – for Toffar. They recruited Edmeades for 500,000.
Edmeades, however, will reportedly be unavailable for the tournament. The Outlaws did not necessarily knowing this when bidding for him.
The Outlaws had signed trio Luke Stevens, Mark Andrianatos and Leon le Roux prior to the auction – and retained seamer Simon Schultz, among others.
