West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran will play for MI Cape Town in the fourth edition of the SA20.
Pooran previously played for Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20. He retired from international cricket earlier this year.
MI Cape Town have retained several players, including New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult and Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan.
They also have Proteas quartet Ryan Rickleton, Kagiso Rabada, George Linde and Corbin Bosch.
Durban’s Super Giants, meanwhile, have retained head coach Lance Klusener.
The SA20 player auction will be held in Johannesburg on 9 September 2025. The tournament will start on 26 December.
MI Cape Town are the reigning SA20 champions. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the most successful team in the history of the tournament with two titles.
