All-rounder Jordan Woolf has left the District Sixers for the Atlantic Pirates ahead of the next edition of the Cape Premier League.
Woolf joined the Pirates from the Sixers for 1.8 million CPL dollars – the tournament’s fictional currency.
Woolf was capped three times in T20 professional cricket by Western Province in 2021.
He represents Western Province Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket Association premier league.
Stevens and Andrianatos to Outlaws
Earlier this week, all-rounder Luke Stevens exited the Pirates for the West Coast Outlaws.
The Outlaws have also gained all-rounder Mark Andrianatos, who has left the Cape Vikings.
Andrianatos played two matches for South Western Districts in division two of the One Day Cup late last year.
He was also capped twice at List A level by Western Province in 2019.
Spinners Eddie Schutte and Jordan Collier, meanwhile, have exited the Outlaws for the Pirates.
More about the Cape Premier League
The Devils Peak Dragons are the reigning Cape Premier League champions. They beat the District Sixers in the 2022 final.
The Dragons are the most successful team in the brief history of the tournament with two titles.
The CPL started in 2019, when the Vikings beat the Hoeri Kwaggo Bulls in the final for the maiden title.
The tournament was not played in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Outlaws and Peninsula Patriots are the newest additions to the CPL, which comprises eight teams.
