Batsmen Daniel Smith and Gavin Kaplan have been included in Western Province’s squad for Wednesday’s CSA One Day Cup fixture against the Warriors at Newlands in Cape Town.

Batsman Jonathan Bird has been sidelined by injury. Western Province are also without wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne, batsman Zubyar Hamza and all-rounder Wayne Parnell, who have joined the Proteas for this month’s series against Bangladesh.

Smith and Kaplan were not in the squad for last week’s One Day Cup fixtures against North West and the Lions. Instead, Smith and Kaplan represented Claremont Cricket Club and Western Province Cricket Club, respectively.
