Batsman Steve Stolk joined the Pretoria Capitals as a rookie during 27 September 2023’s SA20 player auction.
The 17-year-old Stolk attends Die Hoƫrskool Menlopark.

Stolk was among six rookies selected for the 2024 edition of the SA20.

The Capitals, who lost the inaugural SA20 final to Sunrisers Eastern Cape, signed other players during September 2023’s player auction as well, including:
- Paul Stirling;
- Matthew Boast;
- Kyle Verreynne; and
- Daryn Dupavillon.
“The Pretoria Capitals, who had the biggest remaining purse of R9.737 million heading into the auction, also signed Ireland opening batter Paul Stirling for R425,000 and wicketkeeper-batter Kyle Verreynne for R175,000,” read a statement from the SA20.
“Stirling will make the move up to the Capitals after playing for Paarl Royals last season, while Verreynne played for the Joburg Super Kings last season and will now cross the Jukskei River.
“The Capitals also brought fast bowler Daryn Dupavillon back to Centurion for R600,000.”
