Western Province’s Warren Wyngaard has been included in Cricket South Africa’s reserve panel of umpires for the 2021-22 domestic season.
The elite panel has remained unchanged, but Gauteng duo Roger Burne and Khatso Ntuli, North West’s Roderick Ellis and South Western Districts’ Andre Olivier have been named alongside Wyngaard on the reserve list.

“Congratulations to all our umpires on their deserved appointments for the approaching season,” said CSA acting chief executive officer Pholetsi Moseki.
“Umpires are central to the game of cricket and we are fortunate to have an extremely competent group of match officials.”

Devdas Govindjee retires
Northerns’ Rudi Birkenstock has joined the match referees panel, effectively succeeding the experienced Devdas Govindjee, who has retired.
“I would like to pay a special tribute to Devdas, who is retiring from active participation in the game after a long career both as player and match official. He has truly given a lifetime of service to our great game,” added Moseki.
Exchange with India, Australia, NZ postponed
“Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic protocols have once again forced us to postpone our exchange system with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket,” concluded Moseki.
International Cricket Council representatives
“Marais Erasmus, George, Holdstock, Jele and Paleker serve on various International Cricket Council panels,” stated CSA.
“Agenbag is on the ICC development panel and Pienaar, Wadvalla and Fritz serve on the ICC panel of match referees.
