Western Province named batsman Beni Hansen and leg-spinner Josh Breed in the XI for Wednesday’s One-Day Cup fixture against the Warriors at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth.
This is the first time Hansen and Breed, who are from Claremont Cricket Club, have played in the One-Day Cup.
Hansen captained South Africa Under-19 against England Under-19 earlier this year, while Breed recently took 12 wickets in one match for Western Province Colts against Warriors Colts.
Durbanville Cricket Club seamer Jody Lawrence was retained in the Western Province XI.

Western Province are without all-rounder George Linde, who has joined South Africa’s squad for the rest of the Champions Trophy.
Western Province are the reigning One-Day Cup, division one, champions. They currently occupy last position on this season’s points table, though.
“The team is disappointed after last week’s loss and all other matches we didn’t do well in,” said Western Province seamer Dane Paterson.
“We looked at the last four games as very important games, so we are a bit disappointed with our performances, but we’re looking forward to the next two.
“I think as a team we just need to bounce back and probably just do the basics well, do the basics for longer, and then just find ways on identifying where we can take wickets or where we can start scoring runs after building and absorbing pressure.
“Winning the game in PE will boost our confidence, we know we are playing on Wednesday, and we have another big one on Sunday against Boland, so will help us finish the campaign on a high.”
