Western Province Cricket Club will tour England for eight fixtures in late August and early September 2022.
The squad includes Western Province Cricket Association premier league cricketer Nick Barlow and former Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman Steve Palframan.
“For the first time since 2008, the club will be touring England and playing eight matches in and around Windsor and London. The side will be skippered by our chairman, Steve Palframan, and managed by Neil Watson,” read a statement from Western Province Cricket Club.
“Playing as the WPCC Chairman’s XI, it will include current first XI player Nick Barlow and league-winning third XI captain Andrew Flanagan – as well as a former first team player Nick Zaaiman.
“All the tourists are bona fide club members ranging in age from 20- to 60-something.
“Some ply their trade more regularly in the Western Province Cricket Association third division A and our friendly side – as well as with the Black Batts, Kelvin Grove Cricket Club and Elgin Cricket Club.”
