The Western Province Veterans Cricket Association annual general meeting was held at Newlands in Cape Town on 21 August 2025.
Chairperson Fuzlin Levy-Hassen was retained, uncontested, at the AGM. The rest of the WPVCA committee was retained, uncontested, too.
Brackenfell Cricket Club Veterans, Western Province Over-40 and South Africa Over-40 all-rounder Jaco Castle has joined the committee.

Meanwhile, WPVCA member clubs have ratified the introduction of six new teams. They six new teams are:
- Avendale Cricket Club Veterans;
- Bergvliet Cricket Club Veterans;
- Cravenby Cricket Club Veterans;
- Edgemead Cricket Club Veterans;
- Kraaifontein Cricket Club Veterans; and
- Kuils River Cricket Club Veterans.
Wynberg Cricket Club Veterans have withdrawn from the league, which has increased from 24 to 29 teams.
WPVCA confirmed a 61 percent cost increase in membership fees, which will be R14,500 per club for the 2025-26 season. Clubs paid R9,000 each for the 2024-25 season.
The WPVCA projected costs for umpires, balls and scorers will increase by approximately R58,000, R29,000 and R22,000, respectively, for the 2025-26 season.
Member clubs also voted to restructure the WPVCA league, which will change to three groups. Previously, two groups included 12 teams each. For the new season, two groups will include nine teams each, while a third will include 10.
Another vote at the AGM yielded the reintroduction of batsmen having to retire at 50 not out. The batsmen will be allowed to return after the fall of five wickets. Eight centuries and 120 other scores of 50 or more were record during the 2024-25 WPVCA league.
Member clubs voted against introducing super overs or bowl-offs. Teams will continue to share points for tied results.
