“Unfortunately, Marcus, who has been fantastic for us over the last four seasons, has let us know that due to his commitment to his brand MYM Coaching, will not be able to commit to the coaching role at WCC for the foreseeable future,” said Wynberg Cricket Club chairman Donovan Koen.

“Considering the fact that Marcus is very involved with cricket at Wynberg Boys’ High School, Cape Premier League cricket – and was with Wynberg Cricket Club for the past four seasons – we were very lucky to have his services for as long as we did.

Wynberg Cricket Club have been promoted to the 2023-24 Western Province Cricket Association first division B after winning the 2022-23 first division C. They are the reigning Ama20 Competition first division C champions.

“We wish to thank Marcus for his dedication and commitment to Wynberg, and for the strong foundation that he has imparted at the club. He has helped us develop and put the right structures in place to develop even further, as a club and individuals,” added Koen.
