All-rounder Donovan Ferreira was named Player of the year at the recent Titans awards ceremony for South Africa’s 2022-23 domestic season recently.
Ferreira is currently with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. Earlier this year, he represented the Joburg Super Kings in the SA20.
“The 2022-23 campaign saw Donovan Ferreira exhibit his abilities across all formats and decisive knocks at crucial times saw him bag the big award,” read a statement from the Titans.
“While he’s always been known for his big hitting in T20s, Ferreira proved a handy middle-order batter in the 4-Day Domestic Series this season.”

The Titans also praised quartet Farhaan Behardien, Theunis de Bruyn, Mignon du Preez and Heino Kuhn.
Behardien and Kuhn have retired from professional cricket, while de Bruyn and du Preez have stopped playing international cricket.
“It has always been important to us to recognise our legends and to give them the respect and treatment that’s due to them,” said Titans chief executive officer Jacques Faul.
“They do a lot in making the Titans who we are, so it’s only right that we give them the acknowledgement they deserve.”
