The Joburg Super Kings have signed Warriors batsman Matthew de Villiers ahead of the fourth season of the SA20.
De Villiers, who captained the Warriors to the T20 Challenge title last week, has replaced West Indies batsman Brandon King in the Joburg Super Kings squad.
“We’re excited to welcome our new Lions – Matthew de Villiers, Jarren Bacher, and Jorich van Schalkwyk – to the Super Kings family,” read a statement from the franchise.
“De Villiers replaces Brandon King. Bacher comes in for Reece Topley until 31 December 2025. Jorich van Schalkwyk steps in for James Vince until 5 January 2026.”
