South Western Districts have appointed new assistant coach Warren Bell for the 2025-26 domestic season in South Africa.
Bell will work alongside new SWD head coach Letlotli Sesele.
“A former professional player with more than 100 first-class matches under his belt, Bell will be the assistant coach of SWD. Bell was the assistant coach of the Garden Route Colts, academy and under-19 team for the past two seasons,” read a statement from SWD.
SWD have signed seamers Banele Cele and Mondli Khumalo from the Dolphins and Tuskers, respectively, wicketkeeper-batsman Beni Hansen from Western Province and spinner Liam Adler from the Warriors. Wrist spinner Thomas Kaber has left SWD for the Warriors.
Easterns, meanwhile, have appointed new assistant coach Onke Mtsiba. He will work alongside head coach Geoffrey Toyana.
Easterns have signed seamer Jesse Albanie from Limpopo, all-rounder Ernest Kemm from Northern Cape and batsman Jurie Snyman from Mpumalanga.
Easterns, like SWD, compete in division two of South African domestic cricket.
